In Loving Memory of Kathleen It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kathleen "Kathy" Specht resident of New Kensington, PA, who brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. She peacefully departed this world on 10/30/2023 at 9:25pm at Seneca Place with her daughter by her side. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived. Kathleen was born on 01/11/1937 to Earnest and Catherine Specht in Renton, PA. From a young age, she possessed an infectious zest for life that never wavered. She had an unwavering love for polka dances, and her nimble feet would effortlessly glide across the dance floor, bringing smiles to everyone's faces. Her passion for polka was contagious, and she would often be found twirling and spinning with her dance partners, creating memories that will forever be cherished. Through her business, Kathleen demonstrated her unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch cleaning services with a personal touch. Her attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction were the cornerstones of her success. She took great pride in her work and was known for her reliability, professionalism, and warm demeanor. Kathleen loved spending time with her Jack Russell Terrier, Bella. Her bond with her faithful companion, Bella, was truly special. Together, they created countless memories and shared a bond that brought joy to Kathleens life. Cooking was another one of Kathleen's many talents. She had a magical touch in the kitchen, and her culinary creations were nothing short of extraordinary. Whether it was a family gathering or a simple get-together with friends, Kathleen's delicious meals brought people together. Her warm and inviting nature was reflected in every dish she prepared, and she took great pleasure in seeing others enjoy her food. When she wasn't dancing or cooking, Kathleen found solace in the art of crocheting. With nimble fingers and a creative mind, she would transform balls of yarn into beautiful blankets and scarves. Her crocheted creations were not only a testament to her skill but also a reflection of her love and care for others. Kathleen would often gift her handmade treasures to family and friends, wrapping them in warmth and love. Above all, Kathleen cherished her time spent with family and friends. She was a social person and was a member at the American Legion in Plum and the Eagles in New Kensington. She was the life of every gathering, her laughter filling the room and her smile lighting up the darkest of days. Her genuine interest in others and her ability to make everyone feel welcome created an atmosphere of love and togetherness. Kathleen's presence was a gift, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Kathleen leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She is survived by her children Matthew (wife, Rose Marie) Podobnik, Cheryl (companion Larry) Podobnik, Christine Crowe, and Andrew (wife, Becky) Podobnik, her grandchildren Christopher (companion, Amanda), Sharon (husband, Mark), Daniel (fiancée, Stefanie), Tara (companion, Patrick), Alysha (husband, Ryan), Michael, Austin, and Grace, and her great grandchildren Deklan, Corbin, Mariah, Riley, and Penelope. She is proceeded in death by her parents Earnest (wife, Ann) Specht and Catherine (husband, Joseph) Hecker. As we bid farewell to Kathleen, let us remember her infectious laughter, her warm embrace, and her unwavering love for life. May her spirit continue to dance, cook, crochet, and socialize in the hearts of all those she touched. Rest in peace, dear Kathleen, knowing that your legacy will forever live on.
