Robert Edward Korzon

June 5, 1939 - January 15, 2022

Robert "Bob" E. Korzon born June 5, 1939 to Frank and Jane (Grabowski) Korzun is rejoined with his loving wife, Barbara J. Korzon. He died surrounded by family on January 15, 2022 at Butler Memorial Hospital. He left behind his children Patrick (Lisa) Korzon and Pamela (Paul) Zangardi and his grandchildren Nick and Robbie Korzon and Emily and Anna Zangardi who were his pride and joy. His kind spirit will live through them. Bob is preceded in death his parents and brother, Frank Korzun. After graduation from high school in 1957, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper and Military Policeman in the 82nd Airborne at Ft Bragg, NC. He liked to say that he used to jump out of airplanes for no good reason. He returned to New Kensington where he worked as a coal miner in many local coal mines. His hobbies included throwing darts, playing cards and bowling. He also was a first round pitcher and member of the Hall of Fame for Butler County Horseshoe League and won many state and national championships. He was proud of his Polish heritage and was a member of the Polish Falcons in New Kensington where he served as a trustee on the board. He was also a lifetime member of the 7th Street Sportsman's Club. He truly touched the lives of all he met. Whether it be driving any distance to pick his grandsons so that they didn't have to walk 5 minutes to school or dropping off food from the club after closing to the staff at the local Get Go. He will be deeply missed by all. He is gone but will not be forgotten. Per Bob's request, there will be no viewing or service. Professional services handled by Thomas M.
