Richard Kamada
February 5, 1942 - March 17, 2022
Richard "Rich" Kamada age 80, passed Thursday March 17, 2022. He is remembered by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years Elizabeth "Betty" Louise (Rhea) Kamada, adoring children Russell R. Kamada, Lisa M. (Kamada) and Kevin R. Waner, grandchildren Noah R., Sarah E., and Jacob K. Waner, and siblings Ronald (Patty) Kamada and Andrew (Carolyn) Kamada. Rich is preceded in death by parents Edwin and Bertha (Sadowski) Kamada, and grandchild Brittany Risha Rose (Kamada) Hansen. Rich graduated from Har-Brack High School in 1958, and later went on to graduate from Valtech Institute in 1961. After graduation, Rich enlisted in the United States Army Military Police. He proudly served from 1962-1964, then in the active Reserves until 1968. Rich worked at Barts Gas Station in Natrona, in the pit crew at Lernerville, Chemfax, and Liberty Mirror, and Allegheny Ludlum as a Maintenance Foreman. A camping enthusiast, Rich loved going to camp with his grandchildren, family, and friends. Bowling and golfing were also Rich's favorite past times. He was a proud member of the Oregon Club, Tarentum Elks, Tarentum Eagles and the Tarentum VFW. Betty Kamada and Lisa Waner would like to give a very special thanks to Grey's Colonial Acres for their exceptional love and support, and Senior Helpers for their additional help and support during this time. Per Richard's request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grey's Colonial Acres Home, 272 Colonial Rd in Kittanning or the Cancer Society. www.cancer.org.
