Phillip Warner

May 16, 1966 - February 3, 2021

Phillip G. Warner Of Butler, passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2021 at his home. He was born in Erie on May 16, 1966, the son of Gerald and Joan (Sealy) Warner. He graduated from McDowell High School in 1984 and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1988. He worked in the IT field for many years at ATandT and Lucent Technologies in Columbus, Ohio before moving back to Erie. Phil enjoyed playing football, hiking, biking, swimming, and working out at the YMCA. He was an avid reader and movie buff. His love of motorcycles started when he was five years old and rode a Rupp mini-bike in the woods behind his house on Tamarack Drive. Phil loved entertaining people with funny stories of his brothers and daredevil stories of his childhood, and he never failed to make people laugh. He lit up the room with his smiles and was always there when a family member or friend was going through an emotional time. He truly gave the best hugs. His greatest accomplishment was his wonderful children. He taught them how to ice skate, ride a bike, and play frisbee golf, and he helped them learn to drive. He never failed to tell them he was proud of them for their accomplishments. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Dr. Zachary P. Warner (Colleen) of Colorado Springs; his daughter, Savannah K. Warner of Columbus; and his step-daughter, Sarah E. Zies (Dustin) of Beaverton, Oregon. He is also survived by brothers, Kirk Warner (Christy) of Erie and Mark Warner (Beth) of Columbus; nieces, Chelsea, Ashley, Jorja, and Alyssa Warner; nephew, Brayden Warner; uncles, aunts, and many cousins. A Celebration of Life was held for the immediate family. Memorials may be made to Gaudenzia Erie, 2005 W 8th St. Erie, PA 16505.
