Fred Hann

November 21, 1938 - March 25, 2022

Fred James Hann, 83, of 1576 Powers Run Road, Pittsburgh PA 15238, died peacefully on March 25 surrounded by his family. He was born on November 21, 1938, to Fred and Anna Hann in Homestead PA. Fred attended The University of Pittsburgh and achieved BS in Metallurgical Engineering and an MBA. He married Kathleen Sacco on October 12, 1963 and they had three children: Fred, Russ and Doug Hann. He worked as The Head of Quality Control at the USS Edgar Thompson Plant, and retired from USS after 34 years of employment and successfully overseeing the ISO 9000 Certification for USS. He enjoyed spending his time with his family traveling, fishing, boating, camping and enjoying the beauty of nature and all of God's blessings on earth. Fred is survived by Kathleen, Fred, Russ (wife Brooke and daughters Sierra and Saylor), Doug(fiancee Rachael and daughter Ariana). Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard Hann and his sister Mary Agnes Emery. Visitation will be Wednesday at 2-4 PM at the THOMAS M. SMITH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY LTD., 930 Center Avenue, Blawnox, PA 15238. Funeral services will be Thursday March 31st, 10 AM at Saint Scholastica Church, 309 Brilliant Avenue, Aspinwall PA 15215.
