Obituary for Frances McCaslin née Schriver Frances Louise Schriver (96). was born November 17th1925 to Marie Schriver and Herschel Schriver in Pittsburgh PA. She married her husband Samuel C. McCaslin after World War II. Her main occupation was secretary and mom. She worked as a secretary at Sweet Clean Laundry in the 50s. Later she joined the staff of Youth Guidance Inc. which is now called Family Guidance. She retired from there after 25 years of service. She was also a mom of four children Dorotha, Ginger, Bill and Sam. She was very much into crafts and built numerous model dollhouses, some with her sister Ruth which were donated for auction to support the American Cancer Society. In her later years she crocheted and gave away countless doilies for friends, relatives, shut ins and just about anybody she met. She gave them out for people to give away to others, as well. She is predeceased by her parents Marie and Herschel Schriver, two sisters Catherine Schriver and Betty Shirley and two brothers, Monty Schriver and Wes Schriver. She is survived by one sister Ruth Schriver. She is also survived by two daughters Dottie Bailey, Ginger Carhart and her husband Steve, Toni McCaslin Vogel and her husband Rod and Sam McCaslin and his wife Jane. Her son Bill McCaslin predeceased Her. She has 6 grandchildren Sandy Christian and her husband Dave, Bonnie Hill and her husband Brian, Kristi D'Ambrosio and her husband Mike, Esther Lashway and her husband Leon, Jason McCaslin and Clifford Bailey and his wife Jen. She has 10 great grandchildren, Emily Herbst and her husband Christian, Andrew Christian, Nathan Christian, Noah Hill, Ryan Hill, Elizabeth Hill, Danica D'Ambrosio, Dianne Tousley, Stormy Bailey, and Rocky Bailey. She has one great grandson Hiram Herbst. Her greatest pleasure was being with her family, whether at picnics, camping or just spending time with them at home. She was devoted to doing the Lord's work and had a great passion for mission work and was in contact with many of the missionaries her church supported. She was one of the early members of the Holiday Park Baptist Church (now Holiday Park Bible Church) and spent many years as the church secretary and became known as "The Church Lady" at one point. She loved plants and could make anything grow. She was involved in these last years with a stitchery group where she enjoyed spending time with ladies who also liked to crochet and knit. A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, March 13, 12:30 PM at Holiday Park Bible Church, 4842 Hialeah Dr. Plum Boro, PA. 15239.
