Constance L. Cihil

July 12, 1927 - December 22, 2020

Constance L. "Connie" Cihil, 93, of Brackenridge, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. She was born July 12, 1927. Connie enjoyed her life in so many ways. She and her husband enjoyed much time at their campground, riding snowmobiles, motor biking and sharing numerous campfires with family and friends. Many vacations were taken in their travelĀ· trailer with her favorites being the ones to Myrtle Beach. She loved her dog, Minka, and all of her family's pets. Celebrating family Thanksgiving, Christmas and birthday gatherings were very special to her. She treasured her regular visits to her son Richard's group home. Along with enjoying visits from family and friends at HarmarVillage Care Center, where she resided, she liked watching television, reading the newspaper and having her butterscotch discs. Connie coached young students in bowling and was an avid bowler in several leagues. Connie was a homemaker and answered all of the phone calls for her husband's television service repair shop. She also worked as a bookkeeper for G.C. Murphy Co. in Tarentum and for Altmeyer's Home Store in New Kensington. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (David) Mazur of Natrona Heights; two sons, Robert (Mary) Cihil of Natrona Heights, E. Thomas Cihil (John Engle) of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren, Greg (Susie) Cihil, Fort Mill, SC, Kristi Cihil (Justin Macioce), Verona, Danielle (John) Bond, Westminster, CO, Matt Cihil, York, SC, Deborah Cihil, Charlotte, NC, Dana (David) Mattini Saltsburg, Deanna Mazur (Pat Quinn) Bethel Park; and four great- grandchildren, Matthew and Gabrielle Cihil, NC and Aaron and Zachary Mattini, Saltsburg. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Golabieski; her husband, Charles "Chuck" " Cy"; and two of her sons, Richard and Charles "Chuck". The family would like to thank the staff at HarmarVillage Care Center for the care they provided to Connie throughout her stay and to Grane Hospice for their support and comfort. Burial will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies where Constance, her husband Charles and son Richard will be laid to rest together. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Merakey Allegheny Valley School, 1996 Ewings Mill Rd., Coraopolis, PA 15108-3380 where her son, Richard, resided.
