Alrita M. Braden Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Alrita (Haines) Braden, 74, of Tarentum passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born October 3, 1947, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Rita (McCreanor) Haines. On March 17, 1970, Alrita married Edward M. Braden, Jr who survives. She is also survived by her son Eric and his wife Lynn of Belle Vernon; her two grandchildren, Ella Braden and Liam Braden; her daughter-in-law Christine (Nieser) Braden of Tarentum; sister, Deborah Haines; brother Neil (Donna) Haines; and brother Richard "Dick" Haines. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Alrita was preceded in death by her son Edward Braden III, brother Alfred "Bud" Haines, sister Patricia Adamski, brother Terrence "Terry" Haines, niece Tracy McGuire, nephew Brian Haines, and nephew Ryan Haines. Alrita was known for always putting others first and taking care of everyone else. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her entire family but especially her grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12-2pm on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 930 Center Avenue, Blawnox, PA 15238. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Heritage Hospice (2400 Leechburg Road Building 300 New Kensington, PA 15068).
