Aileen Norma Hersh Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Aileen N. Hersh Age 91, passed away in Pittsburgh, PA, on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Aileen was the adoring daughter of Celia and Albert Etskovitz of Philadelphia, PA, where she spent her childhood. She was married to the love of her life, Richard H. Hersh, for 62 years. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathan Hersh. All of them are looking forward to their reunion. Her children were raised in Norristown, PA, Susan Hersh (Cathy Gazzo) of Pittsburgh, Bob Hersh (Janet) of Atlanta and Sherrie Fulmer (Ike) of Halifax, PA; as well as her grandchildren, David Fulmer (Kendra), Adam Fulmer (Kristen), Caitlyn Joiner (Chris), Amanda Longacre (Wesley) and Michael Hersh (Haley) already miss her terribly. Her great grandchildren, Evie and Nora Joiner and Davy Longacre along with Baby Bad Lad Fulmer, who is on his way, didn't have much time to know her but would have so loved her if they did. She is survived by her brother, Len Etskovitz (Nicki); and her sister in law, Sema Luber (the late Norman); in addition to many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Aileen returned to work as an office manager and book keeper when her children were in high school. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and baking and was terrific at all three. By far, her greatest joy was her family. The world will be a little less sweet without her in it. There will be no funeral at this time. A service will be held in Philadelphia when it is safe to travel.
