Wm. Ronald Corsello

Wm. Ronald "Ron" Corsello was born to Dr. William and Mary Corsello, the eldest of four boys - Ron, Robert (predeceased), Richard and Thomas. He grew up on Waldorf St. in the Northside of Pittsburgh and attended Nativity Elementary School, followed by North Catholic H.S. where he met treasured lifelong friends, his buddies, Joe Nowak, Jim Sismour, and Ed Uminski. He met his life-long gal, Doris Doyle, at the Friday Nativity dances. Ron graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry in 1955 before entering the army. Following his discharge, he began his dental practice where he served the North Hills community that he loved for 42 years. His patients and staff became friends and family, even sometimes making house calls to his disabled patients. In his prime, Ron played golf and racquetball, and he loved a long motorcycle ride through the Pennsylvania backroads. Over 70 years of marriage, Ron and Doris were a fun-loving couple who enjoyed traveling, spending much time with family in CA. He is survived by his wife, Doris; five children: Debbie (Richard) Basile, Ronny (Nancy) Corsello, Michael (Maria) Corsello, Jeffrey (Tammy) Corsello, Carolyn (Craig) Deily; 12 grandchildren: Travis, Natalie, Nicholas, Colin, Juliet, Chelsea, Perri, Julian, Angela, Adrian, Amelia, Lila; and one great granddaughter, Remi. Ron had a carefree style. His infectious and quirky sense of humor rendered him a following among his children's friends and his grandchildren, who adored their Puppup. They especially got a kick out of his spot-on impersonation of Jimmy Cagney's famous line "you dirty rat"; his silly sayings (just for the "halibut"), and his legendary breakfasts featuring the celebrated "greezy omelette". If you're familiar with the song "My Way" by Frank Sinatra, his favorite crooner, that would be Ron in a nutshell. We remember Ron with a tune on his lips and a sparkle in his eye which forged his lovableness. We miss you, Chop, and look forward to seeing you on the flip side!
