Priscilla Ann Whiteside

Priscilla (Graham) Whiteside, age 81, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024. Born on May 2, 1943, in Pittsburgh to Nancy (Young) and David Graham. She was preceded in death by both of her sisters-twin sister Nancy Graham, who passed away earlier this year, and youngest sister Martha (Graham) Wernsperger. Priscilla was married to Joseph Whiteside for 47 wonderful years until his passing in 2014. Together they raised three children: Kevin Whiteside (wife Gabriela) of Weston, FL; Beth Pierson (husband Craig) of Lake Bluff, IL; and Jennifer Pasterak (husband Ken) of Pittsburgh, PA. She was a loving and beloved grandmother to five grandchildren: Derek Whiteside, Graham and Anna Pierson, and Charlie and Michael Pasterak. She was also a cherished aunt to Eric Wernsperger and many other nieces and nephews. A graduate of North Allegheny High School in 1961, Priscilla attended West Virginia Wesleyan College before returning to school later in life to pursue her passion for helping others. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Regis College in Weston, MA, in 1991 and worked as a psychiatric nurse. Priscilla was proud to be a nurse and touched many people's lives through her compassionate work and nurturing spirit. She loved to travel, sharing many adventures with her husband and children, and she held fond memories of summers spent working at Chautauqua in New York during her college years. Priscilla loved to laugh and dance; her children remember her being particularly adept at dancing "the pony". During her younger years, she was a social butterfly, always surrounded by friends and suitors (before Joe was lucky enough to catch her eye). In her later years, Priscilla enjoyed spending time with her daughter Jennifer and her family in Pittsburgh, where she delighted in being part of her youngest grandchildren's lives. An avid reader, Priscilla could always be found with a book by her side. She also had a special place in her heart for cats and many beloved friends and family members. Priscilla's warmth, kindness, humor, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
