Paul Edward Balach

Paul E. Balach of Upper St. Clair, PA, passed away suddenly on May 8, 2026. Paul is survived by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Kathy (Colussy); his sons, Drew (Lynn) and Dale; and his cherished grandchildren, Denelle (Austin), Danica, Shane, Hailey (Brandon), and Hannah. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dominick Dunlap. He is also survived by his brother, John (Fran), and was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Ann; his brothers, Ron and Rod (Sis); and his sister, Shirley (Ron). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Paul will be remembered for his warm heart and his deep love for family, friends, and the simple pleasures of life. A devoted animal lover, he always shared his home with beloved cats and dogs, caring for them with kindness and unwavering affection. His love for animals reflected the compassion he showed to everyone around him. Paul was a master plumber who spent his career working at the U.S. Steel Building in Pittsburgh, PA. He was an incredibly skilled handyman-there was truly nothing he couldn't fix or build. Family and friends often turned to him for help, and he was always ready with the skill, patience, and generosity to lend a hand. Simply put, Paul could do anything. He found great happiness at his cottage on Lake Erie, a place filled with cherished memories and lasting friendships. Whether spending time with friends at the lake or casting a line into the water, he embraced every moment. An avid fisherman, Paul spent countless peaceful hours enjoying nature, a few beers, and the tranquility the lake brought him. Paul was known for his wonderful smile and infectious laugh-qualities that could brighten any room and lift the spirits of those around him. His presence brought warmth, humor, and comfort to all who knew him. He shared more than 60 loving years of marriage with his wife, Kathy. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two wonderful sons. Paul was a proud and devoted father and an adoring grandfather who treasured every moment spent with his family. Paul's legacy is one of love, laughter, and hard work. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
