Louise Larson

Louise Baehr Larson was a 90-year-old woman who crossed the rainbow bridge on Christmas morning, 2015. Louise passed away peacefully at home after completing her morning exercises. She frequently said that exercise would one day do her in, and she may very well have been correct. Her spirit is carried on by her children, surviving sibling, and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life. Louise Baehr entered life on June 24, 1925, the daughter of the late Bertha and Wm. Baehr, of Mckeesport, PA. After completing high school, Louise attended the Pennsylvania College for Women. She was an active member of her community, serving on several board positions and fundraising committees. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in McKeesport. Louise was a successful business owner of rental properties and property management companies. Family and friends were Louise's passion and delight. She grew up spending summers and vacations with her brothers, George and Bruce, and her life-long friend, Marjorie Apter Mann. She loved to play golf and was a member of the Youghiogheny Country Club, the Longue View Club in Pittsburgh, and the University Club in Pittsburgh. An avid bridge player, she loved to host bridge tournaments and entertain, frequently hosting parties at her home. She was very active and loved being outdoors. Throughout her life, Louise possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Maintaining a sweet and honest demeanor, she won the trust and hearts of many. Louise had an outgoing and curious personality, possessing the knack for puting even total strangers at ease. She left a lasting impression on those who she touched. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around. will never be forgotten. Louise married Scott W. Larson in 1952 and was a devoted wife to him until Scott's death in 1977. A devoted Mother to her children, Louise passed her indomitable strengths of determination, humor, and service to others to her children, whom she adored. Louise is survived by her children, whom she'd take every opportunity to tell friends and acquaintances about: Christine of Pittsburgh, Cynthia (Carolyn Fulton) of Chicago, and Richard (Judith Chandler) of NM and CO. Additionally surviving are sibling George. and many loving family members and friends, too numerous to list, though not forgotten. Her brother Bruce Baehr preceded her in death. Louise requested a private funeral service. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her in her declining health. Arrangements were provided by Thomas M.
