David Dabrowski

David "Dave" Dabrowski, age 72, of O'Hara Twp, died on April 19, 2026. Born December 9, 1953, in Sharpsburg PA, he was the son of the late Chester and Victoria (Dziubich) Dabrowski and the beloved husband of Kathy M. (Weissert) Dabrowski for 45 wonderful years until her passing last year. Dave was a talented young athlete who excelled in baseball, football, and javelin, and his love of sports remained an important part of his life. As he grew older, Dave continued to share that passion by becoming a softball coach for more than 20 years. In that role, he offered guidance, encouragement, and steady leadership to countless players. Professionally, Dave was a skilled carpenter, he took great pride in his tools and in the craft he had mastered over the years. Known for his generous spirit, and he was always willing to lend his tools to others if it meant helping someone complete a project or solve a problem. That simple act of kindness was one of many ways he showed how much he cared for others. Those who knew Dave will remember his one-of-a-kind sense of humor. He had a gift for making others laugh, often finding light in the most ordinary moments and ensuring that no one stayed a stranger for long. His humor was a cornerstone of his character-a reminder to those he loved that life is best lived with a smile. He leaves behind a legacy of joy and countless stories that will be told, and retold, with a grin for years to come. Above all, Dave was a truly decent man who loved his family and protected them with unwavering devotion. He was a steady and dependable presence; someone you could always count on. Dave is survived by his loving daughters, Jessica (Steve) Haberley and Chelsea (Ty) Neargarder; three adored grandchildren; caring sister, Carolyn (John) Lattimore; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home & Crematory Ltd; 930 Center Avenue Blawnox, PA, 15238. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 10:30 am, at St. Edward Church, 450 Walnut St. Blawnox PA 15238. Memorial contributions are suggested to any local youth sports organization in Dave's memory.
